The hotel is located next to the Puntal Dunes and Miera Estuary Special Conservation Area (ZEC), a Natura 2000 site, a natural area of high ecological value, directly linked to the effect of the tides, which determine the rhythm, presence, and activity of the bay’s life.
In this periodically changing environment, waders and waterfowl stand out, but we must also mention the presence of plants such as Salicornia and the giant fern in the Miera River area.
It is vitally important to understand the environment and its fragility and to seek balance so that economic and social activities can be compatible with the conservation of this natural area.
