Sustainable Tourism
Discover a more conscious and environmentally friendly way of traveling. At Sur de la Bahía, we are committed to sustainable tourism, offering an experience in harmony with nature, local culture, and the well-being of future generations.
Sustainable tourism is a way of seeing and understanding tourism that involves protecting the tourist areas in which it operates and respecting people, both travelers and the local population, as well as respecting the cultural and natural heritage of the areas where it occurs.
Hotel Sur de la Bahía began its business journey with a special focus on caring for and respecting our natural, cultural, and social environment.
Sustainable tourism seeks to ensure that the benefits of tourism flow back to the local community without harming the environment. For many years, we have unconsciously practiced this at Hotel Sur de la Bahía, and now we can finally put a name to it.
One of our main objectives is for tourists to be aware and don't leave a negative mark during his stay in the places we visit.
Likewise, sustainable tourism bases its efforts on reducing its impact on local communities, implementing plans that allow for sustained local progress and growth.
Hotel Sur de la Bahía promotes and highlights local food and drink, both from local establishments and artisans and producers, and the products of small businesses in the area. We encourage people to engage in activities that respect and experience nature. We recommend hiring local guides and ensuring that accommodations are respectful of their surroundings. We strive to showcase the culture and unique characteristics of a town.
